About me.

Bonjour and welcome 

I’m Jasmine and welcome to the First Grade Frenchies hub! I am a primary French immersion teacher from Ontario, Canada. 

Most of my French teaching experience has been in first grade however, I have taught grades 2 & 3 French immersion as well. Prior to entering the primary FI teaching world, I was actually teaching Core French to juniors. While I loved it, my heart is now forever in primary! 

Being an immersion kid myself, I always knew I wanted to become a French teacher! Once I landed a permanent position, however, I found myself with absolutely zero French resources to work with. I had to either make things from scratch, purchase resources myself or spend hours searching through Facebook teaching groups. 

I’ve created this blog to be able to share helpful French teaching tips, ideas and resources for fellow French educators in hopes that I can help bridge the ever-so-big gap there seems to be with French Education in Canada. I’m a casual gal and will never claim to be an expert. This is a safe & fun space to share ideas for the French Immersion and Core French classrooms! We can all learn and grow in our French teaching journey together.
